My background

I was born 15th of June 1947 as the eighth girl out of nine totally. My childhood I spent in my home in Rocksjö with my parents and my sisters. At the age of seven I took the big step out into the wide world as I in June -54 made my first trip outside my home. In view of my mothers 50-years anniversary she made a tour to the region of her childhood in Lappland and me and my younger sister Lilly followed her. In August -54 I entered upon my school in Myckelgensjö, where I lived during the next seven years. As it was no road leading to Rocksjö I could only spend the summers and winter-holidays at home. At the age of fourteen years I had finished my basic studies and spent my first summer as an adult tending cattle in the village Tjäl. The next three years I spent in Rocksjö, helping my mother and my father. I worked with my mother in all kinds of tasks in our dwelling- house and our cow-house as well as I worked with my father outdoors on our farm and in the forest. I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge, which I have found valuable throughout my whole life. After three and a half years of studies at " Katrineholms enskilda läroverk" and "Spyken" in Lund I got my students cap the seventeenth of May 1967.At the University of Lund I studied chemistry, mathematics and physics for three years and after another year of studies at the Training-college in Malmö I got my teacher certificate. After a couple of years of working as a teacher I took up my studies again and started 1975 as a candidate for my doctorate. Studies of thermodynamics at the University of Lund for professor Stig Sunner and at the University of Lethbridge for professor Loren Hepler resulted in my doctors thesis " Thermodynamic properties of water and aqueous electrolytes". May, 1979, I was conferred a doctors degree. In June 1979 I moved to Örnsköldsvik which is the town closest to Rocksjö. After my exam I teached science at the primary school, Platåskolan, for ten years. Since 1990 I work as a senior master in chemistry at Nolaskolan, Örnsköldsvik. I live in Mellansel 35 km from Örnsköldsvik together with Lars-Ove, Daniel and Emma.
